Here is a finished lit shot revealing the miniature stage from 9/15/2008.

Stay tuned for a progress update. First round of background plates are shot. The puppet is finished. Animation will commence in the upcoming weeks.

We are finally lit and ready to snap off some shots

The stage is ready for shooting

The new layer of clay is dry (the final step in getting the stage ready for shooting), and local artist Josh Talbot has come in to help paint/shade some of the layers of clay/sand for texture.

We did some alignment and rough composite tests today and finally were able to capture a couple of shots.

Here are a few more snapshots of what the stage is looking like and a sneak peak at the creature (in an incomplete phase, of course)…
